落日飞车约莫于2009年成立，最早是电子双人组合，草创时期玩的是实验电子音乐，直到2011年后转型成摇滚乐队，同年发行第一张专辑《芭莎诺娃Bossa Nova》之后就暂停活动。由主唱曾国宏（国国）、贝斯手陈弘礼（弘礼）、鼓手罗尊龙（尊龙）、键盘手王少轩（小甘）、黄浩庭（浩庭）五名成员组成。 2015年夏天经过团员的更动，重新展开演出活动，年底录制新作品，于2016年初发行EP《金桔希子Jinji Kikko》。2019年，凭借专辑《Cassa Nova》入围第30届台湾金曲奖最佳乐团奖。2021年，凭借专辑《Soft Storm柔性风暴》获得第32届台湾金曲奖最佳乐团奖。 飞车创团至今常摆荡在各种乐风之间，早先是以创意与乐趣为第一优先的乐团，从电子音乐一路玩到80的复古新浪潮，最后慢慢定型为复古车库摇滚，但又掺杂了乡村与爵士的音乐元素，所以乐风不是容易定义飞车的方式，或许也体现了一种当代乐风拼贴的样貌。
